CLASSIC PILATES VIRTUAL STUDIO

Pilates workouts at-home are possible with our wide selection of workout videos with and without equipment. In our Virtual Studio you will have access to a library of video workouts for all: Prenatal, Postnatal, Foundation, Intermediate and Advanced. See Video Membership to subscribe.

Our Virtual Studio also has a clickable Monthly Workout Calendar which does all the workout planning for you. The choice is yours and with over 200+ workouts to select from you will always have variety on your Pilates journey.

CLASSIC PILATES IN-STUDIO

Step into our light and spacious studio set in tranquil gardens on the Sunshine Coast! Our Port Alfred studio offers you a safe and peaceful environment in which to deepen your Pilates knowledge. Classes are taught with and without equipment, all of which is provided.

Reformer

Classic Pilates Reformer

Upstairs in our Port Alfred studio we have a dedicated Reformer section. The Pilates Reformer is a piece of equipment first designed by Joseph Pilates. It provides an extra challenge with added resistance offered by springs and pulleys. These are available for private or duo classes.

CLASS DESCRIPTIONS

FOUNDATION PILATES

This is our beginners level class. The tempo is slower with more focus on introducing muscle groups and movements used when practicing Pilates. Not only beginners can benefit from this class; more experienced clients can also use it as a way a reaffirming the basic principles. 

INTERMEDIATE PILATES

The Intermediate Pilates classes are dynamic classes where we work on strengthening, toning and energizing the body. In these classes you can challenge yourself consistently and safely.

Advanced PILATES

Advanced Pilates classes are faster paced than other classes. We progress through a combination of Intermediate and Advanced moves to challenge  all the muscle groups, stability and endurance. Clients wanting to attend the Advanced classes must have previous Pilates experience at an Intermediate level. 

Prenatal PILATES

Prenatal Pilates prepares expecting moms by strengthening the body for child birth and beyond. Emphasis is given to breathing techniques, stabilizing and supporting the body safely as well as keeping the spine flexible. These classes are also beneficial as post-natal recovery workouts.

A STOTT PILATES INSTRUCTOR

I started attending Pilates classes in 2010. After moving to the bush in North East Zambia I had to rely on Pilates books to continue training, no mean feat in the tropical heat without power for a fan and no way of checking if I was performing the moves properly. Two years later I moved to Port Alfred, South Africa, and found the perfect studio and instructor. One day she asked me why I didn’t consider teaching Pilates. A light bulb moment. Classic Pilates was born and is now a fully integrated online and in-person studio. I love to teach, I love to keep myself informed, and I would love to share this knowledge with you. Whether you are in need of private classes for specific rehabilitation goals, group classes for socializing or you are wanting to workout when you want, where you want contact me to book your first class or sign up to our workout video library.
